The position:
We are looking for a maintenance mechanic to join our team This role is perfect for someone who can perform routine tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and modification of buildings and equipment. In particular, this role will be focused on the repair of small appliances.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Specialized training in at least one field of maintenance
  • Valid Washington state driver's license with an insurable driving record

What will you do?

  • Respond to work orders, perform maintenance repair tasks, complete and close work orders.
  • Painting: Repair interior or exterior painting. Replace caulking, prepare and paint units.
  • Carpentry: Board up broken windows. Repair window trim, screens, blinds, and hardware. Perform minor repair to walls, stairs, floors, porches, sidewalks, and fences. Repair or replace interior doors. Change locks. Replace knobs and minor unit hardware.
  • Plumbing: Repair or replace faucets, spouts, P-traps, dishwashers, shower heads; unplug toilets and drains (not using sewer machine).
  • Electrical: Replace furnace filters, heat registers and low voltage thermostats. Replace bulbs, outlet/switch covers, low voltage t-stats, light shades, fixtures. Replace smoke detectors.
  • Unit Vacate: Clear out, clean, paint, flooring, wax floors. Assist in eviction process as needed.
  • Develop and maintain inventory of materials needed to complete repairs.
  • Perform inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
