Job Summary
LSC Mechanical Inc is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Shop Manager to lead our team of skilled technicians and service advisors. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for the automotive industry, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and a proven track record of driving business growth. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations, from managing staff and workflow to ensuring financial performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the service department, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by building strong relationships and promptly resolving any issues or complaints.
- Manage the shop's workflow and scheduling to maximize productivity and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, gross profit, and technician efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase service sales and profitability.
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor shop personnel to build a high-performing team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment, complying with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Prepare and manage the shop's budget and financial reporting.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Minimum of (3-5) years of experience in an automotive repair facility.
- Minimum of (2-3) years of experience in a management or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to manage a team and drive performance.
- Proficient with shop management software (e.g., (mention specific software if applicable, like Mitchell1, ALLDATA, etc.)) and general computer skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred:
- Experience with (mention specific car brands if you specialize).
- Proven experience in sales and marketing within the automotive industry.
