GENERAL DUTIES: Responsible for leading and coordinating the full lifecycle of multiple construction and renovation projects simultaneously. Involves overseeing design and construction teams, managing procurement and technical functions, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Provides strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage resources and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
GENERAL OVERVIEW: Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal guidelines, and best practices in construction management. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of project development from concept through completion, including site planning, contract negotiation, and stakeholder coordination.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for concurrently managing multiple numerous projects, providing leadership to construction and design teams.
Overseeing technical and procurement project functions while ensuring adherence to schedule, budget and quality.
Ability to manage resources to ensure the successful delivery of multiple projects with emphasis on new construction, comprehensive renovations and system replacement scopes.
Skilled in the administration and the delivery of planning, design and construction management services of multiple projects occurring concurrently.
Conducts high-level reviews of project design and construction submittals for accuracy, compliance.
Knowledge and expertise to review and respond to planning and design functions such as, development of renovation scopes, design management and site planning to include transportation, zoning, building orientation, on-site parking & stacking, storm water and utility matters.
Knowledge and expertise in Space Utilization Studies, Facilities Lists and Design Guidelines.
Knowledge and experience to adhere to in-house standards, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Ability to conduct high level reviews of project design and construction submittals for accuracy, completeness and compliance with initial programming, planning and design guidelines objectives.
Ability to manage design consultants during construction with emphasis on contract administration deliverables.
Ability to manage contractors with emphasis on conducting site visits and change management.
Ability to chair regularly scheduled design and construction progress meetings with emphasis on phasing activities.
Ability to coordinate with other team members as well as stakeholders.
Skilled in negotiating design and construction contracts.
Skilled in procuring goods and services in a public institution environment.
Ability to use construction software including Autodesk, Build, Procore, etc. as the communications tool including all planning, tracking and reporting activities.
Oral and written communications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of training, education, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform this position's duties, such as:
Bachelor's degree –Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field. Three (3) years minimum experience managing vertical construction projects or related public works capital projects, demonstrating foundational knowledge of project controls and contract administration.
Pay: $90, $120,000.00 per year
