EXEMPT: No. This is an hourly position with overtime eligibility. Starting at $16/Hr.
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing overall administrative support to HR & Program Departments in the Midwest Business Office. Duties in this position include screening new hires, onboarding, & assistance with monitoring compliance documents. Requires organization skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is directly supervised by the Compliance and Training Director. Other duties may also be assigned.
Completes and organizes filing of documents for Human Resource & other Departments as needed.
Sends email communication and follow up to management staff for needed personnel documentation and updates to meet compliance requirements.
Assists with completion of new hire employee process to include professional communication on multiple technological devices or software used to complete hiring process. Background screening of new hires, onboarding, and assistance in monitoring compliance documentation.
Operates various office equipment (Ex: phone systems, copier/fax/scanner machine, etc.).
Types/ creates confidential correspondence; modifies various operational forms as needed.
Make copies of correspondence and other printed material.
Conduct searches to find needed information, using such sources as the internet.
Operate office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
Use of computers for Excel spreadsheet, Word processing, database management, and other applications.
Enter required information into payroll software, provide finger printing services for new employees, and learn the use of other software as instructed.
Completes required Background checks to include BCI, RAPBACK, ARCS, etc. on Applicants and inputting data into various databases as needed.
Review, assign, enter new applications into payroll software.
Recording & Processing of HR Documents into payroll database system, and other clerical duties as needed related to HR.
Professional communication in all correspondence
Training Department of Disability required trainings, (CPR, NET, DSP1, Annual)
Travel for HR related responsibilities.
Recruiting & prepare for Job Fairs
Other duties as assigned.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES
- High school education and at least 3 years of office experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Confidentiality and reliability
