Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our operational excellence. You will play a crucial role in the causal analysis of nonconformities, identifying corrective and mitigating actions, and supporting the resolution of quality issues. Additionally, your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of robust inspection plans, continuous improvement projects, and supplier quality oversight activities. Your Day To Day As a Quality Assurance Engineer
- Participate in procedure development and ownership, to include maintenance of ISO-9000 quality system procedures and work instructions.
- Certify as Auditor to support internal and external quality system audits.
- Collaborate with engineering and production personnel to support manufacturing delivery of first-time, defect-free product.
- Participate in causal analysis of nonconformities and identify corrective actions to prevent recurrence and/or mitigating actions to reduce probability of recurrence.
- Support resolution of quality issues and nonconformities.
- Perform periodic surveillances and self-assessments to ensure quality system compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inspection plans and quality system improvements.
- Support of inspection personnel, NDT Level III/NAVSEA Examiners and development of inspection techniques.
- Perform maintenance of quality assurance records.
- Perform analysis and trending of quality data to implement product improvement actions.
- Perform supplier quality/oversight activities.
- Participate in CAPA (corrective action) resolution for component processes.
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering or technical discipline.
- A minimum of two years quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have basic educational knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
- Hands-on manufacturing experience for industrial equipment and familiarity with both traditional and advanced manufacturing methods is desired
- Must have demonstrated the ability to lead teams of technical people and have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations
- Strong team player with the ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer in machining, welding manufacturing, non-destructive testing, shop surveillance, inspection, data trending, procedure development, supplier quality/oversight, and corrective action.
- Experience with manufacturing for nuclear reactor applications.

Pay: $77,000 - $112,000
The base salary range for this position in Indiana (US-IN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $77,000 and $112,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
