Duties

• Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures
• Support veterinarian and veterinary technicians with medication administration, laboratory testing, and sample collection
• Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques in treatment areas to prevent infection and ensure compliance with health standards
• Help with pet care tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring behavior for signs of distress or illness
• Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, client communication, and record keeping.
• Support laboratory procedures by preparing samples, recording data, and maintaining equipment

Experience

• Previous kennel experience or animal handling background preferred but not required; a strong desire to learn is essential
• Experience working in veterinary clinics or animal shelters is highly valued
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and restraint techniques is advantageous
• Hands-on experience with medication administration, catheterization, aseptic techniques, and laboratory procedures is a plus
• Familiarity with front desk operations such as client communication and appointment management enhances your candidacy
• Equine experience or working with large animals adds valuable versatility to your skill set

Pay: $23.00 per hour
