The Role: AP Computer Science A Tutor (Remote) Are you deeply committed to computer science education and motivated to make a lasting, positive impact on students' computational thinking and programming skills? We are actively looking for an experienced and dedicated AP Computer Science A Tutor to join our esteemed, 100% remote team.

Core Responsibilities (What You'll Accomplish)

• Deliver high-tier, individualized one-on-one and small group instruction in AP Computer Science A, covering fundamental and advanced Java programming concepts, object-oriented design, and algorithms.
• Evaluate the specific learning styles and challenges of each student to design dynamic lesson plans that promote a fundamental understanding of computer science theories and coding methodologies.
• Lead engaging and highly interactive remote sessions using digital whiteboards, IDEs, code editors, and diverse virtual resources.
• Closely track student growth and provide specific, actionable feedback on code efficiency and syntax to build their technical confidence.
• Partner professionally with administrative staff and fellow educators to ensure holistic support for all student goals.
• Maintain an up-to-date mastery of College Board AP standards and the latest innovations in computer science pedagogy.

Candidate Profile (Your Background)

• Academic Foundation: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Education (Master's degree preferred).
• Instructional Expertise: Proven success as an online instructor, with the ability to create comprehensive and effective virtual teaching materials for Java or AP CS A.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the AP Computer Science A curriculum and a repertoire of proven teaching methodologies.
• Communication Mastery: Excellent interpersonal skills paired with a genuine drive to engage students in complex technical topics.
• Virtual Environment: Demonstrated ability to foster a supportive and stimulating online classroom culture.
