We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse and supporting our overall supply chain operations. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining accurate inventory records. Your primary focus will be on loading and unloading trucks, picking and staging orders, and transporting materials to designated areas. Attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move and stack materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Pick and stage orders according to pick lists or system instructions.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and company products within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues immediately.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including manual lifting and order fulfillment tasks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and accident prevention.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of logistics principles.
