We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be instrumental in ensuring timely and accurate handling of inventory, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain operations. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all company and OSHA guidelines is required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of all cargo.
- Pick and stage orders accurately for shipment.
- Perform daily inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Meet performance targets for productivity and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including potential overtime.
