Join our vibrant team in Detroit, Michigan, as a Picker/Packer! In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your duties will include locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves using order pick lists and scanning equipment, followed by carefully packaging these items for shipment. Attention to detail is key to ensure order accuracy and to prevent errors in our **logistics** process. We prioritize **safety** above all else, so adherence to all **safety** guidelines and the proper wearing of **PPE** are non-negotiable. This position requires individuals who are energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of working productively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items according to customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Inspect products for quality and damage before packaging.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, utilizing various packing materials.
- Label packages correctly for transit.
- Conduct final quality checks to ensure order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as directed.
- Comply with all company **safety** policies and procedures.
- Wear required **PPE**, such as **safety** vests and gloves.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** of up to 35 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic **logistics**.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace **safety** and the correct use of **PPE**.
- Good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
