We are hiring a Material Handler to manage the flow of materials within our San Francisco, California facility. This key role supports our logistics operations by ensuring materials are moved, staged, and organized efficiently and safely. You will be instrumental in keeping production lines supplied and ensuring finished goods are ready for shipment. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high safety standards, including the diligent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Stage materials for production lines and shipping areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory levels.
- Assist in receiving and put-away of incoming materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent accidents.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or discrepancies.
- Support the logistics team in optimizing material flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification to operate forklifts and other relevant machinery is advantageous.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Understanding of material handling principles and logistics.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members.
