We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Worker for our Des Moines, Iowa facility. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, involving the movement and management of goods within our distribution center. As a Warehouse Worker, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of inventory, from receipt to dispatch. We value safety, teamwork, and efficiency in all our logistics processes.
Responsibilities:
- Unloading and loading freight from trucks.
- Moving, stacking, and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operating manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock checks.
- Reporting any damages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Performing other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar physical labor role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics principles is beneficial.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for the duration of the shift.
