Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Columbus, Ohio. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials and finished goods. Your efforts are key to maintaining the flow of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, possess good organizational skills, and be committed to maintaining a safe and productive workplace. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and the operation of material handling equipment. We place a strong emphasis on safety and provide all necessary training, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and goods.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
  • Pick and prepare materials for production or shipment.
  • Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Follow all established procedures for material handling and logistics.
  • Utilize required PPE at all times.
  • Participate in inventory counts and stock reconciliation.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding material flow and needs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Proficiency in lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and a strong sense of responsibility.
