Join our robust logistics operation in Baltimore, Maryland, as a Material Handler! This position is vital for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to load, unload, move, and store materials. The ideal candidate will possess excellent coordination skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment. Experience with various types of material handling equipment and a valid forklift certification are highly preferred. You will play a key role in ensuring that inventory is organized, accessible, and safely stored, contributing to the overall smooth functioning of our logistics network. Attention to detail is essential for accurately identifying and transporting materials. This role requires regular and significant Lifting of materials and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to guarantee safety for yourself and your colleagues. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Move and stack materials according to warehouse layout and procedures.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
- Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Support efficient logistics flow throughout the warehouse.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.
