This role is essential to the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the efficient and safe movement of materials. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating various equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to transport goods throughout the facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and preparing materials for shipping or production. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all employees must strictly follow Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE. This position requires physical fitness, the ability to perform significant Lifting, and a good understanding of warehouse logistics. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and management to ensure inventory accuracy and timely fulfillment of orders. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stock and organize inventory on shelves and in designated locations.
- Assist in picking and packing orders as needed.
- Ensure materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification to operate forklifts or willingness to obtain it.
- Ability to perform Heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and other physical tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to Safety and the mandatory use of PPE.
