Join our logistics team as a Receiving Clerk in Jacksonville, Florida! This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and processed. You will be responsible for verifying contents against purchase orders, identifying any damages or discrepancies, and properly logging all incoming goods. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and products from suppliers.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Inspect goods for any damage or defects and report discrepancies immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Organize and stage received materials for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a receiving clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
