Are you detail-oriented and enjoy working in a hands-on role? We have an opening for a Picker/Packer in our Durham, North Carolina warehouse. This position is vital for ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and promptly. You will be responsible for accurately locating items within the warehouse, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring they are packaged safely and efficiently. This involves using scanning devices, verifying product details, and handling goods with care. A strong understanding of order fulfillment processes and a commitment to Safety are essential. This role is a key component of our overall logistics operations, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. We provide all necessary PPE and training on Safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on pick tickets or electronic device.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities against order details.
- Pack products securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Conduct quality checks on orders before they are dispatched.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, contributing to overall warehouse organization.
- Assist with inventory tasks as needed.
- Follow all established Safety rules and guidelines.
- Wear required PPE at all times during operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to handle frequent Lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics.
- Commitment to Safety in all aspects of the job.
- Must be willing to wear mandated PPE.
