Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and warehouse management, with a proven ability to motivate a team and ensure operational efficiency and safety. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, manage inventory, and ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and on time. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a productive and safe working environment for all team members. You will be responsible for training, scheduling, and supervising warehouse staff, as well as implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures. A deep understanding of safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, optimizing workflow, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department. Responsibilities include:
  • Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of warehouse staff.
  • Training new employees and providing ongoing performance feedback.
  • Ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Managing inventory levels and conducting regular cycle counts.
  • Implementing and enforcing all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Monitoring warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Maintaining warehouse equipment and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Resolving operational issues and addressing employee concerns.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Performing administrative tasks related to warehouse management.
This role demands strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. Experience with warehouse management systems and a thorough understanding of logistics best practices are required. You must be able to handle lifting of up to 50 pounds and be comfortable in a physically demanding environment.
