Seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Miami, Florida. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of materials and inventory throughout the facility. You will operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move products to and from storage areas, and assist with order picking and stocking. Safety is paramount in this role; you must be proficient in operating forklifts safely, adhere to all company safety policies, and consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE). A valid forklift certification is essential. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to lift items when necessary. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials and inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport products to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with stocking and retrieving inventory.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts.
- Report any safety hazards, accidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist with order picking and put-away tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operation and warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear required PPE at all times while operating equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
