We have an exciting opportunity for a Picker/Packer in our Atlanta, Georgia facility! As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in the efficient processing of customer orders, ensuring accuracy and speed from our warehouse floor to the shipping dock. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory shelves based on customer order specifications.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety during shipping.
- Verify picked items against order lists to maintain high accuracy rates.
- Operate hand-held scanners to track inventory movement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity targets for picking and packing.
- Participate in physical inventory counts as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is advantageous. Must be able to perform frequent lifting, typically up to 35 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift. Strong attention to detail is crucial for order accuracy. Basic math skills for inventory checks. Experience with RF scanners is a plus. Understanding of warehouse safety procedures is required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced logistics environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
