Are you an experienced forklift operator looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator for our state-of-the-art facility in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently moving and storing inventory at various heights within our warehouse. This role is critical to maintaining optimal storage density and ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout our logistics network. You will operate specialized equipment, manage inventory placement, and contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and Safety. This is a key position requiring precision, speed, and a strong commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move pallets of goods to and from racking systems.
- Accurately place and retrieve inventory at designated heights, ensuring proper storage procedures are followed.
- Perform pre-operational checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in safe working order.
- Assist with receiving and putaway processes, ensuring accurate inventory placement.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Mandatory use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to supervision.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Follow all company procedures and guidelines related to material handling and warehouse Safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck, with valid certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including standing, walking, and occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
