We are seeking a motivated Order Picker to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering products to fulfill customer orders. This role is essential to our distribution center's success, directly impacting customer satisfaction through timely and correct order fulfillment. You will utilize RF scanners and other warehouse technology to locate and retrieve items from shelves. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced logistics environment, your attention to detail and efficiency are key. We prioritize Safety and provide a supportive environment for our team members.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from designated storage locations based on pick lists or electronic orders.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package selected items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move products within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Strictly adhere to all Safety protocols and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks as required.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or picking errors to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Demonstrate understanding of warehouse logistics and best practices for order picking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, fulfillment, or a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach to Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
