Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and proficiently to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound freight, ensuring proper stacking and security.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily safety checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all company safety protocols and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving, order picking, and shipping tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in inventory management activities, such as cycle counting.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations.
- Adhere to all operational procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse layouts and inventory flow.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with logistics software is a plus.
