We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our Des Moines, Iowa warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials within the distribution center. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. You must possess a valid forklift certification and have a proven track record of safe operation. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all Safety guidelines and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position requires the ability to perform tasks that involve significant Lifting of heavy items and the stamina to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
