Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care
Location: Jamaica, NY
Contract: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $44/hr – $48/hr

Openings & Schedules:

• Part-Time Nights: 11:30pm – 8:00am | 1–2 shifts/week + every other weekend
• Part-Time Evenings: 3:30pm – 12:00am | 1–2 shifts/week + every other weekend

Patient Ratio: Care for 20–40 Veterans

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care including ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Administer medications (oral, topical, injectable, inhaled) and document accurately
• Monitor resident physical and emotional status; report changes promptly
• Perform wound care, skin assessments, and preventive care
• Collect specimens and monitor lab/diagnostic results
• Assist with mobility, transfers, oxygen therapy, catheters, feeding tubes (per scope)
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs; ensure care plan compliance
• Participate in shift handoff, care planning, and interdisciplinary meetings
• Respond to emergencies and assist with CPR/first aid as required
• Advocate for resident dignity, rights, and emotional well-being

Requirements:

• Active LPN license
• LTC experience preferred
• Ability to supervise CNAs and manage multiple residents
• Strong documentation and communication skills
