Under the direction of the General Manager and/or Supervisor, Pharmacy Technician, the Lead Warehouse Associate oversees and participates in the shipping, receiving, storing and ordering of Pharmacy Medications, supplies, and inventory.
- Maintains receiving and inventory control records and prepares related reports
- serves as a lead over one or more assigned Shipping Clerk
- trains and provides lead work direction and guidance to assigned staff
Job Responsibilities:
- Enters shipping destination into carriers' program and affix bar code to shipping container
- Maintains adequate supply of shipping containers and supplies
- Prints daily shipping log for all carriers
- Receiving all shipments
- Documentation of packing slip or invoice
- Count of pieces being received
- Storage and rotation of inventory
- Maintenance of warehouse and shipping area
- Operates a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and/or other equipment utilized in the warehouse
- Utilizes space efficiently and effectively
- Takes inventory and maintains accurate control systems
- Operates a computer and assigned software
- Understands and follows oral and written instructions
- Communicates effectively both orally and in writing
- Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships
with others- Assigns and reviews the work of others
- Maintains records and prepares reports related to assigned activities
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, equipment, and terminology
- Use and terminology of requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and other documents
- Principles and practices of training and providing work direction
- Methods of storing equipment, materials, medications, and supplies
- Proper methods of loading and unloading of trucks
- Space utilization and inventory techniques
- Operation of warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, and/or pallet jacks
- Health and safety regulations
- Basic math
- People skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
- Proper lifting techniques and safety practices
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of responsible warehouse experience involving the receipt, storage, and issuance of supplies and equipment and the shipment of orders
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
