Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, with a strong understanding of NEC standards, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects, ensuring safety and compliance at all times. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in low and high voltage systems, power tools, hand tools, and be comfortable working on construction sites. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your electrical expertise in a dynamic environment with diverse projects.
Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, and high voltage systems to ensure proper operation.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and perform repairs.
- Follow NEC standards and safety protocols to maintain compliance during all phases of work.
- Assist in renovation projects, including framing carpentry and maintenance person tasks related to electrical work.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low/high voltage systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices.
- Construction site experience with the ability to adapt to various project environments including renovation work.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation for complex electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety standards and quality workmanship in every project undertaken.
