Responsibilities
Analyze problems and suggest ways to improve services and products.
Plan and run workshops, build lasting relationships, and align stakeholder goals.
Document and study business processes to increase efficiency.
Use data to inform decisions and explain business rationale.
Collaborate with designers to prototype and test early versions of products.
Clarify project requirements and translate them into simple instructions for the team.
Work with Product Owners and Delivery Managers to track the team’s backlog.
Assist with product testing to ensure it meets user needs.
Promote Agile business analysis practices to deliver value quickly.
Co‑support colleagues and other members of the flexible project team.
Share ideas and best practices with other Business Analysts at Hippo.
Travel occasionally to meet clients for projects.
Skills and Experience Required Analytical and Critical Thinking
Analyse information from multiple sources and suggest actionable solutions.
Confidently share findings with the project team using facts and evidence.
Respond to stakeholder questions with supported insights.
Manage diverse data within the project team.
Leverage data to support clear thinking.
Requirements Gathering and Management
Gather project requirements using various techniques and choose the most effective method.
Ensure the team has a clear understanding of tasks and maintain an updated project plan.
Prioritise items on the project plan.
Help establish processes for deciding what needs to be done and tracking it.
User‑Centred Design
Collaborate with designers to influence design decisions.
Conduct user research sessions to inform product decisions.
Shape user research approaches and product aesthetics.
Modelling Methods and Techniques
Apply various modelling techniques and choose the best fit.
Identify, measure, and understand opportunities to improve business processes.
Educate others on how to use these methods.
Working with Clients
Research and understand client priorities to shape offerings.
Build relationships and find common ground with the team.
Identify client challenges and work to overcome them.
Align with Hippo’s goals, client objectives, and project needs.

Hippo Locations We are headquartered in Leeds and have offices across the UK in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Bristol. Candidates should be located within reasonable travelling distance from one of our offices. The dynamic nature of our consulting business may require on‑site work at a Hippo office or at a client location for a number of days per week. We offer generous relocation support up to £8k.
