Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and sustain compliance with OSHA's 14 PSM elements and EPA's Risk Management Plan (RMP) requirements.
• Integrate engineering principles into safety systems design, risk mitigation, and process optimization.
• Act as technical SME for process safety across capital projects, operations, and maintenance
• Conduct and lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) including HAZOP, What-If, FMEA, and LOPA.
• Design and review Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS); evaluate safeguards such as relief devices, interlocks, and shutdown systems.
• Maintain and update Process Safety Information (PSI) and risk registers to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Collaborate and participate in the Management of Change (MOC) and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) systems; assess safety impacts of process changes.
• Oversee mechanical integrity audits and ensure compliance with API 510, 570, and 650 standards.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; develop and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safe equipment operation and process reliability.
• Provide technical guidance during startups, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
• Develop and deliver training programs on process safety topics to cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Safety Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a PSM-covered facility or process safety role.
• CCPSC certification preferred.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR , EPA RMP, SIL/SIS standards, and hazard analysis methodologies.
