The Advanced Airframes Department within Raytheon Hardware Engineering provides Mechanical Engineering support to develop solutions for products across the Raytheon portfolio. Our core mechanical engineering responsibilities include requirements/conceptual development, design, integration, and test support. We partner with several Mechanical Product Team departments to provide full system solutions.
For an integration and demonstration effort, the Advanced Airframes Department is seeking a Senior Principal Team Lead with experience in mechanical design, team leadership, Earned Value Management, hardware integration, and flight test support. The individual will lead mechanical aspects for two related contacts as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to assist the program in providing both technical guidance and supervision in meeting project commitments. The Lead and team will also manage suppliers and may lead efforts in proposal development.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of engineers to design, develop, integrate, and test mechanical hardware within the Advanced Technologies area
- In parallel with the above role, for a related prototype build contract, lead the mechanical team's contributions through planning and execution
- Work independently, under limited supervision, and act in a project leadership role, often requires the ability to delegate and review the work of others.
- Own the Earn Value Management System (EVMS) and Cost
