Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator/Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team on first shift, working Monday through Thursday, 6am - 3pm and Friday, 6am - 12pm. As a CNC Lathe Operator/Quality Technician , you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a CNC Lathe to recut tooling for cored wire machines. The main focus for this position is to cut rolls on CNC lathe and complete Quality Control Tests, which requires the use of Spectrometer, surface grinder, and welding. This is a direct hire, full-time position in a manufacturing production environment, with opportunities for growth and development.

Shift:

1st Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6am - 3pm and Friday, 6am - 12pm, with voluntary overtime opportunities.

Rate: $17 - $19 per hour

Duties:

  • Operating a CNC Lathe to recut tooling for cored wire machines.
  • Performing quality checks on each batch of wire produced, this includes using a welder, surface grinder, and Spectrometer.
  • Performing machine set-ups. This includes tool changes, machine adjustments, quality checks, minor machine repairs, etc.
  • Calculating and recording set-up parameters.
  • Measuring with O.D. Micrometers, and calipers (Metric).
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Working and operating other pieces of equipment around the plant as required.
  • Supporting wire production, with various tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Experience with running and set-up of production machines preferred
  • Detail oriented and meticulous
  • Mechanically inclined (Required)
  • Experience with calibers, Micrometer, or measuring tools preferred
  • Strong math skills in basic algebra
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Self motivated & hard worker (Required)
  • Good communicator and able to work with others well (Required)
  • Ability to work independently and reliable (Required)
  • Ability to stand for hours on production floor
  • Ability to excel in a workplace with few employees (Required)
  • Willing and eager to learn
  • Welding, manufacturing, industrial experience a plus
  • CNC Experience a plus
  • Electric forklift experience a plus
  • Maintenance experience a plus
