Position Summary

The Controller is a senior member of the finance team responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role provides leadership to accounting staff, maintains internal controls, ensures compliance with regulatory and funding requirements, and partners closely with executive leadership to support financial planning, audits, and operational efficiency.

• Oversee all accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, performance oversight, and professional development.
• Maintain and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare accurate financial statements.
• Develop and manage detailed organizational budgets in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Coordinate annual audits, including working with external auditors and reviewing audited financial statements and required regulatory filings.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, including AP, AR, and payroll journals.
• Actively manage cash flow and liquidity, including monitoring receivables and following up on aged balances.
