About the Opportunity:

A leading aviation software provider seeks a Vice President of Corporate Development to drive strategic growth initiatives and lead M&A strategy during a critical phase of expansion. Reporting to the CFO, this role supports an ambitious buy-and-build inorganic growth agenda by overseeing all aspects of corporate development within the aviation technology market.

Responsibilities:


• Own and execute corporate development strategy aligned with investment thesis and growth goals


• Source, evaluate, and prioritize M&A opportunities via market mapping, relationship building, and build-vs-buy analysis


• Lead all deal phases: target identification, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, documentation, and integration planning


• Develop relationships with investment banks, advisors, strategic partners, and acquisition targets


• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Legal to evaluate strategic fit and operational feasibility


• Prepare executive-level materials, financial models, and scenario analyses for leadership and board presentations


• Drive post-merger integration planning and monitor portfolio performance versus deal objectives


• Conduct competitive intelligence and market analysis to support long-term strategic planning


• Represent the organization at industry events to facilitate deal sourcing and partnership development

Requirements:


• 10+ years in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy with strong SaaS/enterprise software experience


• Proven track record leading end-to-end M&A transactions


• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring


• Ability to translate complex technical, operational, and financial data into strategic recommendations


• Strong executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills


• Experience working cross-functionally in high-growth or PE-backed technology environments


• MBA or advanced degree in business, finance, or related field


• Familiarity with aviation technology, flight operations software, or aerospace industry dynamics


• Experience managing integration or corporate strategy functions


• Background in managing strategic partnerships or joint ventures


• Pilot certificate or aviation enthusiast preferred

Compensation:


• Pay based on experience, qualifications, and market factors


• Summary pay range: $210,000 to $260,000 USD
