You start with a quick sync with the Solar Regional Lead Project Manager, then dive into models and dashboards to spot trends that affect scope, schedule, and cost. By mid-morning, you're coordinating with environmental and permitting SMEs, aligning inputs for site diligence. After lunch, you steer engineering activities, work through an issue log, and guide capital approvals. You close the day refining a construction plan and negotiating key commercial terms—setting your projects up for a seamless handoff to Late-Stage Project Management.
About the role- Title: Project Manager – Level 2 (Early-Stage)
- Location: Onsite in Juno Beach, FL
- Employment type: 1-year contract (W-2)
- Team: Early-Stage Solar Engineering & Construction (E&C)
- Reporting to: Solar Regional Lead Project Manager
- Ownership of a portfolio of early-stage solar projects through Screening, Diligencing, and Early-Stage Pipeline—preparing each for turnover to Late-Stage PM.
- Analysis of technical and financial inputs to identify material variables, indicators, risks, and opportunities.
- Coordination of development and permitting activities with subject-matter experts and stakeholders.
- Facilitation of engineering deliverables; active contribution to issue resolution and risk mitigation.
- Capital stewardship: plan, track, and reconcile project budgets; obtain approvals; manage balances and variances across your portfolio.
- Creation of viable construction plans and schedules; negotiation of commercial contracts; exploration of optimization strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience with proven project management capability.
- Background in construction, the energy sector, or solar preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
- Comfort engaging executive leadership, suppliers, regulatory agencies, local communities, and internal partners.
- Mechanical aptitude or curiosity about technical variables.

Compensation & benefits- Estimated base pay: $75.00/hr to $80.00/hr (dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills).
