Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Care Professional to provide exceptional support and care to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will be the primary caregiver, fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting concerns promptly
  • Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for privacy and confidentiality
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual preferences
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces
  • Support residents during social activities, outings, and community engagement to promote social well-being
  • Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to assist with mobility needs
  • Document care provided accurately in compliance with facility policies and state regulations

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's), memory care, autism support, and hospice care is advantageous
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for resident support
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
  • Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care plan implementation is desirable
  • Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and dignified care for all residents
