RockF orce Operations has Workforce Divisions throughout the U.S. providing Union and Non-Union Stagehands for venues, broadcasting, and on-site productions with a commitment to safety, precision, and excellence. Every team member is thoroughly trained and supported by a leadership team with decades of hands-on experience in live event labor.
RockF orce is currently hiring, on-demand Stagehands for live events in your area. Applicants with experience in live events production are preferred but all interested candidates are encouraged to apply.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking Stagehands/Workers to support an indoor special event taking place in Downtown Minneapolis from December 20–25, 2025. This role involves the setup, operation, and breakdown of production equipment. It is a physically demanding position that requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
All workers must commit to the full workday each day and to the entire project duration. Each day is guaranteed to paid for at least 8 hours, and Christmas Day will be paid at time-and-a-half.
We maintain a strict Zero-Tolerance policy (including harassment, discrimination, violence, substance use, and other prohibited conduct)
Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas
Event Setup & Breakdown
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Assemble and dismantle staging, lighting, audio, and video equipment
- Set up backline equipment, risers, and scenic elements according to event specifications
- Set up and remove barricade
- Run, tape, and coil power, video, audio, and lighting cables
- Ensure all cables, rigging, and power sources are safely and securely installed
On-Site Event Support
- Assist audio, lighting, and production technicians during rehearsals or performances
- Move and adjust equipment and set pieces during set changes
- Perform general labor and support tasks as assigned
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting and equipment handling
- Maintain awareness of venue rules and industry safety standards
- Identify and report faulty equipment or safety hazards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have valid government-issued ID
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to all project dates (Dec 19–25)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction well
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a stagehand or in live event production
- Experience with audio, video, lighting, staging, rigging, or backline equipment
- Familiarity with hand tools and tie-downs (c-wrench, hammer, ratchet straps)
- Basic knowledge of stage plots, lighting diagrams, or production schedules
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Work Environment
- Physically demanding, requiring lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
- Events may be indoors, outdoors, or in temporary structures, often exposed to varying weather conditions.
- This position will often move throughout the grounds and venue on different terrains.
- Fast paced and high-energy work environment, requiring adaptability and problem-solving.
