Our Colorado Springs, Colorado facility is looking for a dedicated Material Handler to manage the flow of goods within our busy warehouse. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are moved efficiently and safely to their correct destinations. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport, store, and retrieve inventory. Maintaining an organized warehouse and ensuring the integrity of materials are key aspects of this position. Your efforts will directly impact the productivity and success of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or shipping/receiving docks.
- Inspect equipment daily to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating systems.
- Ensure all materials are stored properly to prevent damage or loss.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment within our logistics hub.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating forklifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including occasional overtime.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE.
