Job Summary:
Are you an experienced Forklift Operator? Our New York City, New York warehouse needs your expertise! We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to manage the movement of materials within our facility. This role is essential for maintaining efficient workflow and ensuring the safe handling of goods. You will operate forklifts to transport, load, and unload inventory, contributing significantly to our overall logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other inventory items to and from designated areas.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers.
  • Stack and stage materials in designated locations.
  • Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
  • Assist with inventory counts and location verification.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests, as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Support other warehouse operations as needed, including picking and packing.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety best practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and material handling.
  • Commitment to Safety and adherence to all regulations.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
