We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is fundamental to our logistics operations and overall business success. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to maintain optimal stock accuracy. You will work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to identify and resolve inventory issues, improve processes, and contribute to efficient operations. A strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to Safety are essential. Your efforts will directly impact order fulfillment accuracy and cost efficiency within our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory and physical stock.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Process inventory adjustments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Assist in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations related to inventory storage and handling.
- Verify correct use of PPE for all inventory-related tasks.
- Tasks may involve moderate Lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and logistics operations.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (IMS) and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices.
- Capability for tasks involving moderate Lifting.
