Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our Madison, Wisconsin facility. This role is critical for ensuring the optimal functioning and maintenance of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, supporting our overall logistics operations. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery such as forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated storage systems. A strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of Safety protocols, and experience with warehouse equipment are essential. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. We prioritize a safe work environment and require adherence to all Safety regulations and the use of appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, palletizers, conveyor belts).
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse machinery.
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and the warehouse environment.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently to support logistics flow.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Adhere to all Safety standards and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
  • Operate equipment as needed for testing and repair verification, including tasks involving moderate Lifting.
  • Ensure all team members comply with PPE requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanics or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Mechanic, or similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment and its operation.
  • Knowledge of Safety regulations in an industrial or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Capability for tasks requiring moderate Lifting and physical dexterity.
  • Must ensure all Safety checks are completed.
  • Willingness to wear assigned PPE.
