Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments accurately.
- Store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification and training provided if needed).
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse as needed for production, packing, or shipping.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist in preparing materials for outgoing shipments.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 70 lbs).
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other relevant machinery.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety, including wearing required PPE and adhering to lifting guidelines.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
