Our Minneapolis, Minnesota location is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our dedicated warehouse team. This leadership role is crucial for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all logistics activities. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, optimizing warehouse layout, and maintaining a highly productive and secure work environment. You will lead, train, and motivate warehouse associates, ensuring they adhere to company policies and safety standards, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices in logistics. Experience in a supervisory role is essential, as is the ability to handle complex operational challenges. Physical demands include oversight of tasks involving lifting and material handling, requiring an understanding of these requirements. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of daily warehouse operations.
- Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counting and discrepancy resolution.
- Oversee receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping functions.
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff to achieve performance goals.
- Enforce strict safety policies and procedures, ensuring the proper use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with transportation and other departments to ensure smooth logistics.
- Maintain operational records and generate performance reports.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs, including PPE requirements.
- Ability to manage physically demanding tasks and understand operational lifting requirements.
