Our expanding logistics hub in Houston, Texas, is actively recruiting experienced Forklift Operators. This is a critical role for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack inventory. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and you must demonstrate a thorough understanding of all warehouse safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintaining operational efficiency while upholding safety standards is paramount. You will be expected to conduct daily equipment inspections and report any issues promptly. This position requires excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with our warehouse management system and RF scanning technology is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of goods.
- Transport inventory to and from staging areas, racks, and production lines.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth operational flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operation and warehouse logistics.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
