We are seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our distribution network, handling a variety of tasks related to the storage, movement, and fulfillment of goods. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will contribute to receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, and shipping processes. Your attention to detail, efficiency, and commitment to Safety will be key to success. This position involves significant physical activity, including moderate to heavy Lifting throughout the shift. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Put away received goods into designated warehouse locations.
- Pick orders accurately based on pick lists or system instructions.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety procedures and company policies.
- Participate in inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve operational targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics flow.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following Safety guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Must be able to wear and utilize all required PPE .
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Basic computer skills are a plus.
