Join our thriving team as a Forklift Operator in San Antonio, Texas! We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and perform various material handling duties within our fast-paced distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in the movement of goods, ensuring timely and efficient loading and unloading of trucks, as well as the organization of warehouse inventory. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of Safety . You will be responsible for safely maneuvering forklifts, performing pre-operational checks, and maintaining equipment. This role is integral to our supply chain and Logistics operations. We offer a competitive hourly rate and a supportive work environment. The successful candidate will be adept at working in a dynamic setting and capable of meeting production goals while adhering to all company guidelines. We provide all necessary PPE to ensure your protection. This role involves significant material movement and may require moderate to heavy Lifting when not operating machinery. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere to all company Safety protocols and procedures.
- Utilize scanners and warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Handle goods with care to prevent damage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation and maintenance.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory control.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear and utilize required PPE , including safety shoes and vest.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
