Join our team as an Order Picker in Kansas City, Missouri! We are looking for dedicated individuals to play a vital role in our order fulfillment process. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering items for customer orders. Your precision and speed are essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their products correctly and on time. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our shipping department. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety are key.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Locate products within the warehouse, ensuring correct item and quantity are selected.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other equipment as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Be prepared for lifting and moving items of various sizes and weights, utilizing proper lifting techniques.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the logistics process.
- Report any discrepancies or safety concerns to management promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
