We are seeking an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our team in Provo, Utah. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, playing a key part in our overall logistics success. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Communicate with internal departments (e.g., warehouse, sales) regarding shipment status.
- Process returns and ensure proper documentation.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse management systems.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards and the use of appropriate PPE when necessary.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and common carrier platforms.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following all procedures.
