About The Role

The Data Science organization at CrowdStrike is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Data Analyst to join their team. This role is pivotal in measuring and quantifying the impact of machine learning and AI models developed by the Data Science team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with operational teams to analyze how these models influence customer outcomes and organizational efficiency. The role involves navigating CrowdStrike's complex technical infrastructure to design comprehensive analyses that extract meaningful insights from vast and varied data sources. Additionally, the Sr. Data Analyst will identify opportunities for data integration, develop requirements for engineering and threat analysis teams, and contribute to system enhancements that maximize the value derived from CrowdStrike's extensive data repositories. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence cybersecurity solutions through data-driven decision-making and innovative analysis techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field or equivalent experience in quantitative data analysis
  • 8+ years of experience in data analysis involving large datasets, visualization, and impact quantification
  • Proficiency in prototyping and designing metrics, dashboards, reports, and experiments with actionable insights
  • Expert-level skills in Python, Excel, and Google Sheets for data analysis applications
  • Proficiency in SQL, data schema design, and data warehousing concepts
  • Ability to quickly learn and integrate data from diverse storage and processing systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop clear and concise reports demonstrating the impact of ML and AI models on customer outcomes
  • Promote a data-driven culture among security analysts and operational teams
  • Create and refine metrics and visualization tools to support ongoing analysis and decision-making
  • Implement techniques for accurate measurement of model performance and impact, even with large and complex data sets
  • Provide training, support, and best practices guidance on data analysis tools and methodologies to team members
  • Collaborate with engineering and threat analysis teams to improve data collection, integration, and system capabilities
  • Identify new data sources and opportunities to enhance analytical insights and operational efficiency
