Experienced Civil & Criminal Attorney (NJ Admitted, 3+ Years)

Our Newark‐based law firm is seeking a New Jersey‐admitted attorney with a minimum of three years' experience handling both civil and criminal matters. The ideal candidate is a self‐starter who can manage a diverse caseload from intake through resolution with professionalism and sound judgment.

Responsibilities Include
Handling civil litigation matters, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances

Managing criminal cases at the municipal and superior court levels

Conducting legal research and drafting high‐quality briefs, motions, and correspondence

Communicating effectively with clients, adversaries, and the court

Preparing cases for hearings, settlement conferences, and trial

Maintaining organized case files and meeting all deadlines

Qualifications
Admitted to the New Jersey Bar (New York admission a plus but not required)

3+ years of experience in both civil and criminal practice

Strong writing, research, and analytical skills

Confident courtroom presence and ability to argue motions

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

Excellent time‐management and client‐communication skills
