Make Ready Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Make Ready / Rehab Technician to join our mobile home community. This role is heavily focused on unit turn and rehabilitation work to prepare homes for new residents. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with interior rehab, repairs, and finish work, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, move-in-ready homes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform full make-ready turns on vacant homes

• Rehab units including drywall repair, texture, painting, flooring, trim, and fixture replacement

• Minor plumbing and electrical repairs

• Cabinet, door, and window repairs or replacement

• Appliance installation and basic troubleshooting

• Identify larger repair needs and communicate with management

• Maintain organized work areas and proper material usage

• Respond to maintenance service calls as needed

• Participate in rotating on-call emergency coverage every other weekend

Qualifications

• Proven experience in unit turns, rehabs, or renovation work (required)

• Strong skills in drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, and general repair

• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

• Professional communication with residents and management

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor

Preferred Experience

• Mobile home, apartment, or residential rehab experience

• Experience working in occupied communities

• Ability to complete full unit turns independently
